The right chlorella dosage to take

Chlorella is known as single-celled fresh water green algae that help in the detoxification of the body together with all the vitamins, amino acids, minerals, chlorophyll and other substances that it contains. However, many professionals have proven that it is the tough, fibrous material which is found in the outer shell that binds the toxins and transport them out of the body.

Chlorella has about 12% of chlorophyll which is considered as the largest amount found in any plant gram for gram. Chlorophyll is known as the only substance that makes the plants green and to make photosynthesis possible. In addition, the chlorophyll and its chemical structure are somewhat similar to the heme of hemoglobin in the human blood. The only difference between the two is that the chlorophyll has magnesium at its center, while heme has iron.

How much chlorella should you take? Chlorella actually comes in different forms, and that includes small tablets, capsules, powder and even liquid forms that are often a combination of other detoxifying substances. If you take up 5 to 7 grams of chlorella a day, you would start noticing some substantial changes not only in your energy level, but for your overall health, as well. It is always best that you should start off with a smaller dose and increase it gradually as you could be going through mild diarrhea or bowel discomfort like bloating. The body should be able to adapt well, and when it does, you can build up the dose step by step.

The maintenance dose of chlorella is 3 to 5 grams. You may not notice the effects with this dose, but your body would be able to benefit from the nutrients and have a slow, gradual detox. In regards to fighting various diseases, a better amount would 10 to 15 grams, while for people who are suffering from cancer has been known to take up 20 grams a day.
